Submission Process

Overview

The process for becoming a speaker or presenting a poster at the 19th European PLACE Conference 2025 includes two phases. During phase one, you will receive a feedback, if your submission is accepted or not. During phase two, we will support you with any questions on how to prepare your presentation, poster or manuscript.

Phase One: Submission of abstracts

Submit your abstract and CV until 31st October 2024 to submissions@place-conference.eu.
For any further correspondence, you will be assigned a contact person from the technical program chair.

Please use the template provided and note if you intend to give a technical presentation, short plenary discussion or present a poster. If you are interested to provide a manuscript for being published in the TAPPI Journal, please let us know. We will assist you with choosing the best option for your submission, if you are uncertain.

You will receive feedback if your submission has been accepted by 30th November 2024 at the latest.

Phase Two: Submission of final presentations, posters or manuscripts

If your abstract has been accepted, please submit the final version of your presentation, poster, or manuscripts to your contact person by 28th February 2025. Please use the templates provided, and follow the Anti-Trust-Compliance. If you have any questions about formatting and templates, focus and content, or Anti-Trust-Compliance please contact the technical program chair. We recommend that you submit your documents as early as possible to allow sufficient time in case of queries.

Publish your manuscript in the TAPPI Journal

There is an option to publish a manuscript presented at the conference in the TAPPI Journals. In case of interest reach out to your technical program chair contact for details. For a publication in the TAPPI Journal, their style und author guidelines apply. They can be found here.

There will be no publication fees. TAPPI Journal is an Open Access format, after publication free immediate access is available to all readers after publication. The articles are indexed in SCIE (Web of Science), Scopus, SCI, UGC CARE, Google Scholar.

Authors retain copyright ownership and can self-publish as well after a first publication in the TAPPI Journal.

Templates

During the Conference

The session chair will provide the final and approved version of your presentation at the conference, and print your poster for you.

After the Conference

The PLACE committee will provide access to any presentation and poster shown during the conference. If you have prepared a manuscript for the TAPPI Journal, the technical program chair will send it to the editorial board to initiate the review process of the journal.
